You know. You knew in the car on the way there. Then you said yes, because being reliable felt safer than being right.
Why your system built it
At some point, acting on your own knowing caused trouble. So your system built a fast route around it. The knowing still arrives. It just gets overruled before it reaches your mouth.
What it costs
Decisions you have to live inside that were never yours. A low hum of resentment you can't quite place.
One thing for this week
Before your next yes, count to five. Notice what your body does in those five seconds. You don't have to change the answer. Just catch the override while it's happening.
Where to from here
I built a free three-day practice for exactly this pattern. Ten minutes a morning: find the moment you override, work out what it costs you, and practise staying with what you know.
If it's yours, you'll know.
