Embracing Humanness: Let Go of Perfection & Live in Higher Service

Embracing Humanness: Letting Go of Perfection and Living in Higher Service

Somewhere along the way, we absorbed a lie: that life would be better if we perfected ourselves. That our messy bits should be hidden, tamed, or endlessly improved.

But humanness is messy — and that is exactly what makes it beautiful, rich, and alive.

I’ve lived enough to know that perfection is not where our freedom lies. Freedom lives in our raw honesty. In our Intuitive Intelligence. In daring to see beyond the stories of good and bad — and living in higher service to who we really are.

Where Did We Learn to Fear the Mess?

Pause for a moment and ask: Who decided what perfection looks like for you? Was it your parents? Your school? That first boss who told you to “be more professional”? The spiritual circles that labelled your doubts as “low vibration”? Most of us never choose consciously. We inherited rules. We absorbed judgements. And we never stopped to question: Is this true for me? We were taught to fear the messy parts—to see them as evidence of failure, weakness, or lack. But what if your mess is just life unfolding, honestly? What if it’s not a problem but an opening?

Who Decides What Is Good or Bad, Anyway?

When we live only from the mind — the conditioned, frightened mind — we label everything: This is good. This is bad. This means I’m worthy. This means I’m failing.

Intuitive Intelligence invites us deeper. It teaches us to pause beneath the noise and sense: What’s true here? What serves my highest self?

Often, the thing you judge as “bad” — the breakdown, the doubt, the heartbreak — is exactly what initiates you into more honesty, more presence, more depth.

Who decides what’s good or bad? Mostly, your conditioned mind. But the truth? Life doesn’t judge itself. It just moves. It just becomes.

Living in Higher Service to Yourself

What if instead of striving for perfection, you devoted yourself to living in higher service to your whole self?

This is not about being selfish. It’s about aligning every thought, choice, and action with what feels deeply true, loving and alive for you — not what pleases the world.

Intuitive Intelligence is your inner compass for this. It reminds you:

You are not here to get it “right”.
You are here to remember who you are.
To live from your wholeness—the mess, the wisdom, the contradictions—and to offer that truth back to life.

When you live in higher service to yourself, you naturally serve others better, too. Your honesty liberates them to drop their masks. Your compassion invites them home to themselves.

How to Begin Embracing Humanness Today

Let’s bring this down to earth. Here’s how to practise living in higher service to your messy, whole self:

  • Pause the labels. Next time you catch yourself judging an experience as “bad”, get curious instead: What’s this here to show me?

  • Listen within. Before you act, ask your intuitive self: What feels true and alive for me right now?

  • Be of service inward first. Meet your needs before you pour out. Wholeness flows outward only when it’s honoured inward.

  • Let the mess breathe. Speak your truth — not the polished version, but the trembling, real one. Let people see the whole of you.

A Gentle Invitation

Embracing humanness is a radical act of love. It’s a devotion to living beyond perfection—to living truthfully, deeply, and in alignment with your higher self.

Perfection is brittle. Wholeness is alive.

Let the mess be holy. Let your Intuitive Intelligence lead. Live in higher service—not to an idea of who you should be, but to the vibrant truth of who you are.
